an exhibition of 90 Rajbanchi masks

(Southern Nepal-North India)

used during Ramayana performances.

This exhibition had received the patronage of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, of the Ministero dei Beni e delle Attivita' Culturali e del Turismo Italiano and of the French National Commission for UNESCO, of the Universita' Ca'Foscari Venezia - Dipartimento di Studi sull'Asia e sull'Africa Mediterranea »

The Exhibition will travel from April to June 2017 at the

Museo Orientale in Venice (Italy)

in the Pesaro Palace on the Grand Canal, and at the end of the year at the

Museum of the Bernard and Caroline de Watteville Foundation, in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.

A bilingual catalog will be published on this occasion.

A first guided tour will take place on January 13 at 3 pm.

 

 

 

On 18 January at 3 pm, Amina Taha Hussein Okada, Curator-in-Chief of the Indian Arts Section of the Guimet Museum, will present a conference on the theme.
