Repairing and colouring the Masks of Lankapodi Jatra, A unique Ramleela of Bisipada, Phulbani, Kandhmal, Odisha.

Which uses seventy wooden Masks to perform an aperatic singing Ramleela based on the text on the tal patr (The palm leave) by Bipra Janardhan das.

This tradition is said to have started in 1800 and is been ritualistically celebrated for 14 days by the villagers of Bisipada.

The majority of the participants ar from Bisoi community. Bisoi are said to be the head ; Sardar, Leader, Chief of the forces.

They are said to be the amaty in the kingly court of Kandhmal region.  

The most heavy mask is of ten headed Ravana's Mask whis is said is of 90 Kg.

This ramleela ends with burning of Lanks by Hanumana as the other episodes after this is only recited after Lakshaman, once died after doing the Lakshman Shakti Vedh Scene.
