Waist belt - very old - ornamented with pear-shaped sections of white shell, also cowrie and other ground shells.
Back of Chung country.
Three kinds of shells are used.
The decoration is in a kind of embroidery.
The vertical red lines (left and centre) may be dog's hair.
Different kinds of beads are used to hold in the shells: Indian cylindrical (amber, coral, and other kinds), and some glass, rounded, European trade beads.
